About

just this guy, you know

I’m an app technologies evangelist on the Developer Relations team at Apple in Cupertino, focused on SwiftUI and related frameworks. I moved to my current role after a five year stint as a SwiftUI frameworks engineer. Before joining the SwiftUI team, I was a software developer on the Classroom team.

I previously wrangled objects at the Omni Group where I was also privileged to help manage the internship program.

Before joining Omni I was a tenured associate professor of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. I earned my Ph.D. in Computer Science from Iowa State under Gary Leavens, where I helped develop the MultiJava programming language and proved some things about aspect-oriented programming.

If you go back far enough you’ll discover that I was once responsible for the people and systems that made all the Scope mouthwash in the world. Minty fresh, my friends.
